Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Lorne originally moved to California with his family in 2005. An attorney by trade, Lorne started practicing law in 1992, specializing in civil litigation, criminal litigation, insurance, administrative and contract law. Appearing before state courts, federal courts and the U.S. Supreme Court, he has been able to address various major legal issues throughout his career. Analytical by nature, Lorne has been acknowledged by his peers for his ability to cut to the heart of the matter at hand, finding solutions to complex problems and working hard to bring all parties to the table through meaningful and amicable discourse. An accomplished public speaker, he has spoken to many legal, non-profit and for profit businesses on a variety of topics. As a father, husband and coach, Lorne has learned to listen intently and earnestly offer a steady hand of support to those around him.
A Davis, Ca. resident now for over 11 years, Lorne has found a sense of community through his children, coaching, volunteerism and community involvement. After arriving in Davis. he was named the head mens lacrosse coach for UC Davis, co-founded a successful medical diagnostics company and eventually opened up two solar companies. While sitting on various local, regional and national boards, Lorne is most happy when he can lend his efforts and time to those who need a voice. A tireless source of energy, he is active in the community, volunteers in the Davis public schools, mentors young lacrosse players and is a contributing member of his business community.
Lorne has demonstrated an ongoing passion for the cannabis industry, and is able to combine his business acumen, community focus and hard work ethic, to help others navigate a new and exciting cannabis landscape. He has written successful license applications, negotiated contracts, lobbied and consulted for various cannabis related entities in multiple states. He looks forward to what the future holds in the cannabis industry and is steadfast in his quest to be a good steward of the environment, the cannabis industry and of all those he works with, advises and represents.
